This makes it available for students as well as teacher/instructor to get a free Phpstorm license or Jetbrain products for one year. The same can be renewed after one year as long as you are a student or an instructor.
What Is PhpStorm?
PhpStorm is an IDE for PHP built on JetBrains’ IntelliJ IDEA Platform. It is a perfect IDE for working with WordPress, Zend Framework, Laravel, CakePHP, etc. PhpStorm is not free, but if you are a student or an instructor, we will help you how to get a free PhpStorm license in this tutorial.
Step To Apply For Free PhpStorm License
The license will work on all the products of JetBrains including IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, WebStorm, RubyMine, PyCharm, AppCode, ReSharper Ultimate, CLion, and DataGrip.

Apply for PhpStorm License - Click on the Apply Now button.
- Fill the form with your name and university email address. If you don’t a university email address, you can apply using ISIC card or Official document such as student ID.
- Once you have submitted the form you will get an email with the license activation link. Except if you apply using the Official document, you’ll have to wait for the JetBrains team to review your application. After receiving an email from JetBrains, click on the Activate Educational License. Follow the process to complete the activation of your license.
